OUGD601 - Practical Research, Weights Area Branding

Weights Area Branding:

Branding for weights has a very masculine and overpowering feel to them. The use of large, bold lettering and similar logo designs do not give the weights a very inclusive design. The weights have a very masculine feel to them due to these bold features.

Technogym:

Technogym is a brand that have been looking at making their gym equipment more inclusive. They have tried to make the designs more appropriate to both genders and less in your face as seen in the images below.

This is an example of one of the technogym resistance machines. You can't read the bio very well from the picture but it says that it is IFI certified for strength training for users with sensorial, cognitive or physical disabilities. This is an example of the company trying to make their equipment inclusive for everyone. The branding is also a lot less stereotypically masculine to other brands seen.
