Logo Designs
When looking at the font for the typography I wanted something fairly simple that wouldn't be too overbearing as I wanted the same font used for the logo to be used throughout the App. I tried a few different fonts:
- Myriad Pro
- Geneva
- Kohinoor Devanagari
- Tahoma
- Gobold Uplow
- Gobold Extra2
I decided to go for the 3rd font, Kohinoor Devanagari. I like the simplicity of the typeface which is what will work best for the style that I'm going for.
When designing the logo I decided to use a circle as I feel that this shape is representative of inclusivity. I experimented with the size of the stroke and the use of a line in the typography. I decided against the line though. I then changed the kerning so it made the wording slightly easier to read. I wanted the logo to be white because I chose the colour blue for the app. I think the blue that I chose was neutral as it could be seen as a fairly clinical colour. The white detail of the logo will keep the designs looking clean.
