Campaigner: NHS
Research Focus:
In response to this brief I will be addressing the role of ‘gender’ in
society. I have focussed on the impact that the media has on males in causing
them to have unrealistic ideals of the perfect body. I want to create a reverse
advertising campaign that highlights the negative impact that gym substances
which are seen to be a necessity can actually have on the human body and is
having on the minds of young males.
Defining the problem:
The problem which my design advertising is going to address will be the
use of an awareness campaign aimed at young to middle aged men who are effected
by the influence of the media in relation to gym supplement usage. I want to
create a series of NHS advertising posters which promote awareness of the
impact which the stigma surrounding supplements and the perfect body.
“Client” needs or requirements:
The client that I aim to make the advertising campaign for is the nhs. I
want the campaign to follow a similar style to already existing nhs campaigns
in order to show consistency making it clear to the audience that its an nhs
campaign.
Audience:
The audience that I will be aiming the poster campaign at is young males
who have an extreme enthusiasm for the gym. I want the posters to reflect an
awareness of ways in which you can train hard but also be safe. I also want the
posters to make these males aware of what actually goes into their bodies when
they take all these gym supplements and therefore give advice on ways in which to
take them without causing any long term harm.
